Heading off toward one of his favourite corners - he likes to go round the edge of the room, stopping and sniffing at various places along the way. There is no way he can get out of the room or lost in other ways, so it is safe for him to do this. I generally keep an eye on him, but as long as I know where he is heading, I let him have a little freedom nowadays. After all, I have owned him since he was a hatchling, 8 years ago, and I know him and his habits fairly well.
